Workshop details
This interactive workshop, facilitated by Emele Ugavule, is designed for emerging writers who want to craft personal or fictional narratives for performance. Through guided exercises, discussion, and practical exploration, participants will learn how to shape their writing into compelling, performative pieces. By the end of this workshop, participants will:
-
Understand the core elements of a strong performance narrative.
-
Explore techniques for crafting voice, rhythm, and emotion in writing.
-
Develop confidence in writing stories meant to be heard, not just read.
-
Experiment with different modes of storytelling.
-
Receive constructive feedback on their work-in-progress.
